It's amazing how we criticize and ridicule a person when they're here and then "switch" to such praise in their death. This man was a musical GENIUS from day one. We let him personal life take away from the STAR that this man really was. We teased, taunted, laughed at and segregated this man, amongst other things. It's funny how fast we forget our actions that made this man feel like an outcast in his own country. The country that now claims to "miss him so much". I'm sure we do. It's just we should have appreciated him while he was here. I think we should have taken the time to embrace and honor this man when he was physically here with us. Unfortunately we let his personal troubles over shadow his professional triumphs. It's just a little sad that it took for his death for him to be appreciated and respected the way that he should have when he was alive. Maybe this will be a lesson to us all to appreciate and cherish everything and everyone in our lives, no matter what their flaws maybe.
