"Obama says he doesn't have 'rubber-stamp Senate'"

Obama has been in office 100 days and has probably been criticized more than any other President during this time. How is it that people expect this man to make a miracle happen so soon? This country has been upside down for the past 8 years. It's going to take about that same time to restore balance let alone get ahead.

"Why Michelle Obama inspires women around the globe"

As a brown skinned African American woman I am more than proud of what Michelle Obama represents. She has single handily changed the image that America has of African American women. We're not all stupid, uneducated, on welfare, live in low income housing, have minimum paying jobs. We are intelligent, well educated, have 6 figure jobs and live in gated communities. CNN has this wonderful article (http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/04/28/first.lady/index.html) about the First Lady and how she has become an inspiration to women across the world.

"Obama Doesn't 'Stand Up' And Defend America

So it seems as if Liz Cheney, daughter of Dick Cheney, feels that our President does not defend this country. If I'm not mistaken, isn't he the band aid on the cuts that america has made around the world. Isn't he making peace and attempting to strengthen and build new allies? Maybe I'm wrong.

JOHN MADDEN RETIRES

I can't believe that after 50 years in the NFL as a coach, broadcaster and creator of the GREATEST football game ever, John Madden is finally going to retire. I'm sad to see him go. Not many great ones like him around.

THROWBACK THURSDAY

I came across this mixtape from Doo-Wop and Funk Flex. These were the days when music was good. When you could turn on the radio without wanting to change the station. Can we PLEASE get back to those days?

MEN TELL OPRAH WHY THEY BEAT THEIR WOMEN

Domestic violence is something that's been around forever. People are now deciding to take action because of this whole Chris Brown Rihanna drama. IT'S BEEN AROUND PEOPLE. It happens to everyday people, such as myself. Women stay in abusive relationships because they're afraid. Because this man has some type of control over them, and they don't even know why. I've been there. I promise I won't do it again. Fortunately the abuse that I went through was no where near compared to what a lot of women go through. Fortunately I was smart enough to leave. There's no excuse for domestic violence. NONE!!!! We as women have a tendency to run our mouths. SO WHAT!!! I can say what I want when I want. Now don't get me wrong I am in no way condoning verbal abuse. It's just as bad. What I'm saying is there is no reason for a man to ever say "I hit her because she wouldn't shut up" or "Because she thinks she can talk to me any kind of way" or what ever the excuse maybe. Women, you have to realize that no matter what a man does or does not do for you, there is no reason to stay around and be abused. If you want to get beat up, go be a boxer or wrestler and at least get paid for it.

The KING has DIED

Economy is G-20's Top Priority

Hopefully the leaders of the world can come together to find a solution for this worldwide economic crisis that we're in. It seems to get worse as the days go on. I guess it has to get worse before it can get better.
